Craft is a form of alchemy.
Rachael Starbuck
Craft /kraft/: noun
A manifestation of physical/technical knowledge. It can mean a level of care toward a material or object, and it can also mean a display of ego, but sometimes a balance can be established—one can utilize craft when it's also the conceptual frame for the piece.
It can't be said enough that the art-craft divide is a bogus concept regularly obliterated by the undeniable originality of individuals who may call themselves artists, designers or artisans.
Roberta Smith
